  • 100,000 watch F1 exhibition in Sao Paulo streets – Nearly 100,000 people came out to watch Nelson Piquet Jr. drive a Formula One car in the streets of South America's largest city on Sunday.

    Organizers said Piquet Jr. drove a Renault for a few minutes at a street circuit near some of Sao Paulo's monuments, delighting the crowd.

  • Barrichello wins Massa kart race – Rubens Barrichello may be waiting to hear about his future in F1, but he showed he has lost no speed by winning the annual International Go-kart Champions Challenge race at Florianopolis, Brazil.
  • Hockenheim’s F1 future in doubt over finances – Hockenheim will be unable to stage the German Formula One Grand Prix in future unless it receives financial help from the state, circuit boss Karl-Josef Schmidt was quoted as saying on Sunday.

    "Without grants from the state (of Baden-Wuerttemberg) there will be no more Formula One in Hockenheim," Schmidt told Sunday's edition of daily Der Tagesspiegel.
