Today is the 12th January 2009 and you’re listening to F1 Minute.
Ferrari launched the F2009 today, also known as the F60. The car was unveiled for the awaiting press, questions answered by Kimi and Felipe, before Massa took the car out for a quick spin around the Mugello circuit. Early reactions seem to suggest that it’s not a pretty piece of machinery, but could have been a lot worse, and it still might change.
Both drivers added their thoughts on the coming season, with Raikkonen suggesting he has put a disastrous 2008 well and truly behind him and is prepared to focus on this season. Massa, meanwhile, is content to keep pushing, and still sees McLaren as their main competitors.
Whilst dominating the news, Ferrari also chose today to establish that they wouldn’t be supplying the formerly known as Honda team with engines, should they be bought out.
Finally, the official 2009 entry list has been released by the FIA, with few surprises, except two spaces for Honda drivers, as the entry has not yet been withdrawn.
That’s it for today, please join me again tomorrow for another F1 Minute.
