This week we are telling the story of Jenson Button’s in 2009, from its humblest beginnings to the championship winning weekend. Today, the first time the Brawn car hit the track at Silverstone in March 2009. Jenson Button was behind the wheel for the first run of the BGP001.

Plenty of people were running ‘08 gear on their ‘09 chassis – to see the difference items made and still maintain a reference point. I’m sure the same thing will happen with the ‘10 whale-cars, where the fuel tank changes will only be understood when ‘09 wings/tyres are used for a session or more.
