Brand New Return

A 1992 test run of the Sauber C12 saw the Mercedes-Benz brand re-enter Formula One for the first time since 1955. The V10 had been built by Ilmor in partnership with Mercedes and helped the Sauber team finish 7th that year with 12 points to their name.

Today Mercedes-Benz confirmed that they would take a controlling interest in the Brawn GP team, beginning with the 2010 season.
