Lotus Racing reshuffle management

This is F1Minute and today is the 16th February 2010.

Lotus Racing issued a press release today confirming they have made a bit of a change to the management of the team. Tony Fernandes remains as team principal but is joined by two deputy team principals, who are also shareholders. Fernandes says: “Our goals and objectives are clear but, as mentioned earlier, there is still a huge task at hand. We have 19 races to go through and, with the three of us assisting each other in our roles, we believe that the management has all the necessary resources to bring the team to the forefront.”

Meanwhile, Kubica has been settling in at Renault and has summed up testing so far. He said: “Although the bad weather has affected our track time, we’ve made a lot of progress, particularly last week in Jerez where we found some good performance. What is important is that the car is not too sensitive and that makes it easier to find a good set-up.” Kubica is notoriously hard to please when it comes to car setup, so this is a good start.

That’s all for now, I’ll be back tomorrow with another F1Minute.
