This is F1Minute - F1 drivers pay tribute to Dan Wheldon.

As Formula One packed up and moved on from the Korean Grand Prix, the sad news came through that British driver Dan Wheldon had passed away after an awful crash in the IndyCar finale on Sunday. Double Indy 500 winner Dan had never driven in F1 but many of today’s crop of drivers raced with him in their early career. Many have paid tribute to him over the last couple of days.

Rubens Barrichello said: “Just got out from the plane and got the terrible news about the death of our friend Dan Wheldon. Will always remember the great times we had at karting in Brazil my friend.”

Former Honda tester and current 5live commentator Anthony Davidson tweeted: “Spent so many races trying to match Daniel as we grew up and raced together. I’m utterly devastated to hear the sad news.”

And Jenson Button, who raced single seaters against Dan said: “We’ve lost a legend in our sport but also a great guy. I can’t begin to imagine what his family are going through and my thoughts are with them at this very difficult time.”
