Frank Williams gives Hulkenberg his seal of approval

Hello and welcome to F1Minute for the 1st November 2010.

Despite the rumours floating around that Hulkenberg will be out of Williams for 2011, replaced by a driver with a bit more cash to hand, Sir Frank Williams has been talking up Nico’s abilities. He said: “He was a little disappointing maybe in the first few races. Perhaps he was being over-cautious. But lately he’s become very competitive and I think we’ve just seen the beginning of something very exceptional... And in the right team - hopefully us, one day - he’ll win the world championship in Formula 1.” All may not be lost for Nico then.

Elsewhere, teams are starting to look ahead to Brazil, and the preview quotes are being released - with Robert Kubica suggesting the weather could have a big impact for the second race in a row. The Pole said: “I think that we might have a lottery with the weather because Brazil gets unsettled conditions at this time of year, so it’s likely we will have some wet running, as we did in 2009.” As always, when the weather mixes things up, anything can happen, and Robert is hoping to pick up some all-important points.
