This is F1Minute - Jenson Button wins a two-part Canada Grand Prix.

The Canadian Grand Prix became one of the longest ever, as a lengthy red flag period in the middle saw the event last over four hours. The race began under the safety car for five laps due to the wet conditions. When the action started Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton came together, knocking Hamilton out of the race. The Safety Car came out to recover the McLaren, and then again for the worsening rain, before the red flag was dropped.

It was almost two hours before it going again. Sebastian Vettel was leading, with Kamui Kobayashi in second place, as the Sauber driver had not yet stopped.

In the latter stages of the race, it became about who was on the right tyres for the conditions. Vettel was streaking away at the front, with Michael Schumacher and Jenson Button storming through the field. Nick Heidfeld and Kobayashi collided which dropped Kobi from his podium position. Button found his way up to second place, chasing Vettel for the lead. It seemed as though he would run out of laps but on the final one, Vettel made a small mistake, ran wide, and allowed Button through to take the victory. Mark Webber finished third.
