Korea given the green light for Grand Prix

Hello and welcome to F1Minute for the 13th October 2010.

After some serious concerns during the build up to the Korean Grand Prix, the circuit has now been given the all-clear from the FIA. A circuit inspection took place earlier this week, and Charlie Whiting said simply: “It is satisfactory, and I will issue the license...” Fills you with warmth and good tidings, doesn’t he? This should put a lot of teams, drivers and media minds at rest after concerns they were spending money on logistics for no reason, but it remains to be seen what kind of a race we will get the weekend after next.

Elsewhere, the championship couldn’t be much more open if it tried, and although Hamilton is falling back a little, he is still feeling positive. He says: “It’s getting more difficult, I’m fully aware of that. But in a situation like this, I always look back at the 2007 season and what happened in those final two or three races... I’ve learnt on more than one occasion that the title isn’t won until the very last gasp - so I’ve definitely not given up.”
