Technical Director of Williams, Sam Michael, has admitted the team will need to review their organisation after the worst start to a season they have ever had. Neither driver has scored a point in the first three races, and the car doesn’t look a patch on the competition. Sam Michael opened up about his role in the campaign: “I can easily see that where we are at the moment is not good enough and that falls down to me. So, we are currently reviewing that inside Williams - I am contributing to that and I am happy to do what the team wants me to do, to an extent.” He goes on to suggest that he has a contract to the end of the year, but if a restructuring is necessary, then he is open-minded to it.

After the race in China this weekend - where both drivers finished for the first time - Rubens Barrichello remained determined that improvements could come, saying: “The car isn’t performing as well as it should. I am going to work hard to help the team improve it. I need this car to be performing better and I know we can make it happen.”
