2010 Preview
From the F1 Digest 2010 Season Preview:
Sutil had a pretty low-key year in 2009, struggling to pick up any points throughout the season. There were a couple of high spots, like running sixth in China, but they were equalled by the lows, like crashing out from sixth place in China. Unfortunately, Sutil wasn’t allowed to forget the low points. Early on in the year, he blocked Webber in qualifying which saw him penalised. Everyone will remember Brazil, though, when an incident between Adrian and Jarno Trulli was brought up repeatedly by the frustrated Toyota driver. Sutil has always maintained it was a racing incident, Trulli is happy to carry photographs with him to try and prove otherwise.
For 2010, Force India are keeping a relative continuity – with Liuzzi replacing Fisichella full time, and Sutil retained for the third year in a row. He’ll need to do something impressive to get noticed this year, as Sutil is rated highly but has yet to deliver that solid eye-opening performance to move him up the field. Force India need to provide the car, but Sutil needs to show he can do it with or without the machinery under him.
