2010 Preview

From the F1 Digest 2010 Season Preview:

Bruno Senna is the sole driver announced for Campos Racing, and he was given the nod very early on – before the 2009 season had even finished. The nephew of Ayrton is a big draw for Campos and they say they are proud to bring the name back into the sport. Presumably they are also keen on what sponsorship deals it might facilitate as well. The team have been mired in rumours of their feasability, so it may be playing on Senna’s mind whether he will get his chance in F1. For a driver, his entrance into motorsport came relatively late. At the age of 26, he has only a couple of years of GP2 and a similar amount of Formula Three experience, and his most recent achievement was 2nd in the 2008 season of GP2. Senna had been waiting for an F1 opportunity last year, but it never came so instead he raced in the Le Mans 24 Hours, but his car did not finish.

For 2010, he has the chance to break into Formula 1, but that will all depend firstly on whether Campos actually make it to the grid, and secondly, on what state the car is in if they do.
